About DIRT

The Denver Immersive Repertory Theater, also known as ‘DIRT’, is a live immersive performance and hospitality venue located at 1435 15th Street in downtown Denver, Colorado.

The venue operates at the intersection of immersive theatre and curated guest experience, integrating live performance with hospitality environments including the Velour Room and Cabaret Lounge. While these spaces operate in coordination, each serves a distinct function within the overall experience.

DIRT is both a performance environment and a working venue. Delivering the experience requires coordination across creative, operational, and guest experience teams. The integrity of each performance depends on professionalism, clear communication, and consistency in execution.

DIRT engages performers working under Actors’ Equity Association agreements, non-union staff, and independent contractors, depending on the role and production requirements. The structure of engagement reflects both artistic and operational needs.

Board Operator

The Board Operator is responsible for executing the technical elements of the show, including lighting, sound, and other programmed cues that support the immersive performance environment. Working under the Director of Production and in coordination with Stage Management, this role ensures that all technical components are delivered consistently and in alignment with the intended timing and atmosphere of the show. This role requires focus, precision, and consistency. The Board Operator follows established cue structures, maintains awareness of show flow, and supports the technical integrity of each performance. This is a production-facing role and is not guest-facing.
