The Denver Immersive Repertory Theater, also known as ‘DIRT’, is a live immersive performance and hospitality venue located at 1435 15th Street in downtown Denver, Colorado. 

The venue operates at the intersection of immersive theatre and curated guest experience, integrating live performance with hospitality environments including the Velour Room and Cabaret Lounge. While these spaces operate in coordination, each serves a distinct function within the overall experience. 

DIRT is both a performance environment and a working venue. Delivering the experience requires coordination across creative, operational, and guest experience teams. The integrity of each performance depends on professionalism, clear communication, and consistency in execution. 

DIRT engages performers working under Actors’ Equity Association agreements, non-union staff, and independent contractors, depending on the role and production requirements. The structure of engagement reflects both artistic and operational needs.

Guest Experience Lead

The Guest Experience Lead is responsible for overseeing the execution of guest-facing operations before and during each performance, including arrival, onboarding, and cabaret flow. This role ensures that guests are welcomed, directed, and moved through the experience in a clear, controlled, and consistent manner. Working under the General Manager, the Guest Experience Lead manages the Guest Experience Associates and is responsible for maintaining discipline across entry, onboarding, and guest movement. This role also supports elevated guest moments within the live experience, ensuring a thoughtful and high-quality guest-facing environment. This role focuses on execution, team leadership, and ensuring a high-quality guest experience within the structure of the show.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all guest-facing operations, including arrival, check-in, onboarding, and cabaret transitions 
  • Manage and direct Guest Experience Associates, ensuring clear role assignments and consistent execution 
  • Confirm Guest Experience staffing assignments and position coverage prior to guest arrival  
  • Prepare the Guest Experience team for service each night, including role deployment, timing expectations, and communication of special circumstances 
  • Maintain control of guest flow, queues, and entry timing to support the overall show structure 
  • Ensure guests are directed to the correct spaces based on ticket type and timing 
  • Monitor and resolve guest confusion, delays, or service breakdowns in real time 
  • Support cabaret seating, transitions, and turnover to ensure alignment with show pacing 
  • Act as the primary escalation point for Guest Experience-related issues, escalating to the General Manager when needed 
  • Maintain a polished, organized, and professional guest-facing environment 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in hospitality, front-of-house, or guest-facing environments 
  • Experience working in high-volume or fast-paced service settings 
  • Prior experience leading or supervising small teams preferred 
  • Strong communication skills and comfort interacting directly with guests 
  • Experience working in structured or timing-based environments is a plus 

Working logistics

DIRT operates six shows per week, Wednesday through Sunday, with a Saturday matinee and evening performance. The Guest Experience Lead is scheduled for all show days and is responsible for overseeing guest-facing operations during each performance. On single-show days, shifts typically run from approximately 5:30PM to 10:30PM, covering guest arrival, onboarding, and early show execution. On Saturdays, this role supports both the matinee and evening performances, including reset and transition between shows. Additionally, on select weekends, there may be afterparties requiring extended hours. Outside of show times, responsibilities may include supporting scheduling, coordinating team assignments, and preparing the Guest Experience Associates for consistent execution.
